The central theme of this introduction course in physics is to relate microscopic
and macroscopic physics: how the behavior of individual molecules and electrons provides insight in understanding collective behavior of molecular gasses, modern electronic devices or the relation between the smallest particles in physics and the large-scale phenomena in the universe.
