Curriculum for "ingenieur" (Ir.)
The faculty of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry has opted for an integrated curriculu in which ample attention is paid to the areas of chemistry, catalysis, materials science and process technology. Within the current curriculum, a careful balance is kept between fundamental chemistry and technology. Another important aspect of the curriculum is to stimulate the social consciousness of the students. The curriculum should enable the graduates to either follow a professional career in industry or to continue on either the two-year advanced design course of the TUE or the Ph.D. program of the faculty or elsewhere.

Within "Polymer Technology" are offered:

For the Bachelor degree

In the Masterdegree program obligatory courses are offered:

  1. Thermodynamics of Materials
  2. Rheology A
  3. Manufacturing of multi-material devices
  4. Advanced mechanical properties
  5. Natural vs synthetic materials A
  6. Advanced Functional Properties
  7. Characterization of Materials A

Continuing education
The faculty of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry endeavors to cooperate with other faculties of the TUE to provide superior advanced programs. Under the auspices of the Institute for Continuing Education at the Eindhoven University of Technology, IVO, the faculty provides a two-year advanced design course "process and product design". In recruiting and selection the faculty aims to attract top quality students. The faculty is striving to become an important center, in the future, for continuing education in chemical engineering and chemistry tailored for industrial scientist and engineers. The faculty is ideally situated for this purpose, as it is within easy range of the main industrial centers in Nothwestern Europe.
