The group SKT also wishes to play an important role in the transfer of know how to SME companies. Within the Netherlands approximately 1500 companies are active in the area of polymer processing and product design and these companies often lack expertise and knowhow. In 1999 a centre of expertise for the companies in the sector SME was started, the so-called "Kunststoffenhuis". In the beginning of 2004 all activities are transferred to PTG Eindhoven.
