The group aims to follow the fate of a polymer molecule from its birth on a catalyst surface towards its position in the end product. To achieve the desired goal, a team of thirteen dedicated researchers is working full time. The group works in close collaboration with internationally well known groups involved in polymer synthesis, characterisation and polymer processing. The group enjoys unlimited access to the strongest X-ray source available at European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, Grenoble, and also holds strong position in microscopy techniques which may give insight ranging from nano to micro to macro scale. With the help of central workshop of TU Eindhoven desired home made instruments to follow structure development during processing by in-situ X-ray have been made. The group also aims to envisage rheological aspects of the polymers with varying structure from molecular to micro scale.
